Self Portrait: Balance

Here's my final for one of my college classes.
Our assignment was to make a self-portrait, so I decided to make a metaphorical self-portrait.

The concept was based around Yin-Yang~ The creatures resemble that of a koi fish, which is often used in the Yin-Yang portrayal. The koi creature in the foreground amongst the stormy clouds represents picking yourself up when you're feeling down (the koi creature being positive energy, the stormy weather being feeling "under the weather").
The koi creature skeleton in the background amongst the good weather is suppose to represent how your past will always be with you and to not forget it when making new decisions, no matter how good they are, so you don't repeat the same mistakes (kind of like your conscience).
The doves are symbolic of peace, which goes along with the golden koi.
There are other little details in the picture (like how the golden koi is blinded in one eye, the faded koi fish in the dark weather, etc.), but I'll leave that up for interpretation~
